South-east Queenslanders are warned to brace for potential supercell thunderstorms that could bring large hail, destructive winds, and flash flooding with a possibility of tornadoes.On Saturday afternoon, the Bureau of Meteorology (BOM) issued very dangerous storm warnings for parts of the Granite Belt, the Darling Downs and Southeast Coast, with giant hailstones, heavy rainfall and damaging winds possible.Severe thunderstorm warnings for parts of Brisbane, Toowoomba, Ipswich, the Lockyer Valley, Southern Downs and parts of the Scenic Rim, as well as the Wide Bay and Burnett region were also issued.
